SOME of the biggest names in Hollywood showed up for a December benefit fashion show to help L.A. Shanti with AIDS education. Twenty make-up artists from M·A·C, along with some of Hollywood's top hairstylists (including Arrick), donated their time to help make these stars shine even brighter.
ARRICK'S pal and good friend, clothing designer Charlie Lapson, showed off some of his hottest fashions on celebrities Marla Maples, Victor Webster ("Days of Our Lives"), Tippi Hedren, Adrienne Frantz, Ashley Lyn Cafagna ("The Bold and The Beautiful"), Mary Elizabeth Winstead ("Passions"), and Cloris Leachman. Other celebrities on hand to watch the event included Rod Stewart and Rachel Hunter. The show was followed by a big after-party bash that went on 'til the wee hours.
"WE did ultra high fashion hair and make-up," says Arrick. "The clothing was modern, with a millennium twist. Lots of glitter and metallic in the clothing, so we interpreted that into the hair. It was very powerful and effective."
